Presenter Nilesh Shah is the Secretary of the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club, While always interested in birds, Nilesh's experience as a birder really began when he happened to see a Peterson’s Field Guide to Birds on his boss’ desk in late 1986. He says: "I then bought a pair of binoculars in January 1987 and have been birding since then. I recently crossed the 1000 species mark on my life-list, having birded extensively in the U.S. and several other countries. I happen to just love birds but I am also fascinated by their behavior, their skills and the role they play in the larger ecosystem."
