Volunteer! Join the Teen Think Tank, the Library's fun and inventive teen advisory board.
The TTT is for ages 11-18, grades 6 to 12. We meet on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM for 90 minutes.
The TTT works to improve collections (books, movies, music, audiobooks, etc.) and to create programs and services designed for teens in this community.
Attendance at meetings and TTT events and projects is approved for high school community service hours.
Come share your bright ideas!...and don't worry about dinner; we have pizza delivered.

The time commitment to be a member of Teen Think Tank is mainly to constructively participate for 90 minutes a month on the first Thursday of the month at the TTT meeting. Regular monthly attendance is expected as a membership requirement, as attendance is important for continuity and progress in accomplishing things. Occasionally there will be something outside of the monthly 90 minute meeting time that will require your participation.

To join the TTT, please stop by the Library and talk with Kim Claire, Young Adult Librarian, or call 978-468-5577 x14.

Chronic pain can be challenging and frustrating, for both sufferers and caregivers. In his new book, Dr. George Beilin offers sound advice and a comprehensive strategy for handling aspects of chronic pain: physical, emotional, life stressors, negative thinking, and fortitude.  Dr. Beilin will first share with you ten facts about chronic pain, then will introduce you to the Pain Management Lifestyle model, whereby you’ll learn to use certain scales and ways that will work best for you to reduce chronic pain.  You will change your perspective by viewing pain as a challenge and opportunity, rather than as a catastrophe, to improve your lifestyle overall.  Dr. Beilin draws on his 50 years of professional experience as a licensed psychologist who has specialized in the treatment of patients with chronic pain and on his personal experiences with chronic pain after having 6 surgeries in 7 years.  Free and open to the public, bring along a friend.
