The group will be discussing "The Undoing Project:  A Friendship That Changed Our Minds" by Michael Lewis.

How a Nobel Prize–winning theory of the mind altered our perception of reality. Forty years ago, Israeli psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky wrote a series of breathtakingly original studies undoing our assumptions about the decision-making process. Their papers showed the ways in which the human mind erred, systematically, when forced to make judgments in uncertain situations. As a result, they created the field of behavioral economics, revolutionized Big Data studies, advanced evidence-based medicine, led to a new approach to government regulation, and made much of Michael Lewis’s own work possible.

This club meets every first Thursday of the month at noon.

*October's cookbook title is One Pot: 120+ Easy Meals From Your Skillet, Slow Cooker, Stockpot, and More (from the Kitchens of Martha Stewart Living).

Registration is required and begins on Thursday, September 21.

Neither the food served at cookbook club nor the facilities have been inspected by the state or the local public health agency.

What do you get when you cross a cookbook with a book group?  A Cookbook Club, of course!

Check out a copy of the selected book (starting on September 20) at the library, pick a recipe (we'll keep track to avoid duplicates), and prepare it for the program. We'll sample lots of good food, talk about what worked and what didn't, and select future cookbooks.

This club meets every first Thursday of the month at noon.

October's cookbook title is to be announced.

Registration is required and begins on Thursday, September 20.

Neither the food served at cookbook club nor the facilities have been inspected by the state or the local public health agency.

    Location: Collins Room
Registration will begin on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 12:00 AM
