misc_none 12:00 PM  -  1:00 PM Public Meeting - Divorced Parents Focus Group Remind Me about this Event Download Event Info Tell a Friend

This meeting is going to be an informal discussion to basically brainstorm, share stories and ideas, and work toward taking steps forward to help our kids in the best possible way handle the difficulties of divorce. As an adult who grew up through my parents really messy divorce it has really struck a cord for me how much it did and STILL is affecting my life (nearly 30 years later). I will share some of my story, the issues I am STILL facing and why it is so important for me to do something about it. Seeing the pains, anger, confusion, and general chaos that divorce has created for the children in my life struggling through their parents' divorce, I find it eminent to start this conversation and start taking action. I would love to get other parents' insights as to what their children are facing, how they are handling, what they are doing to help, and what they feel like they are missing or unable to support their children in. I believe if we work together as a community we can create a safe place to have these conversations and then all work together to implement some positive new solution tracks.
