Become your own celebrity and join Summer Reading at our “REaD" Carpet event.  Sign up for Summer Reading 2015 and help us reach our goal to read 1,000,001 minutes in Jeffco this summer.  Kids and teens will receive a free prize pack and book upon sign (while supplies last!).  There will be fun activities for all ages.  Kids - go on a scavenger hunt for book celebrities, bling out a set of glasses, race with an egg and a spoon and much more.  Teens - test your engineering skills as you build a paper rollercoaster.  Participate in a community art project facilitated by local artist AWOL.  Take up the challenge and help us read 1,000,001 minutes. You've never touched a computer in your life? This class is for you. You've got to be able to use a mouse before you can do much more. Practice clicking, double-clicking and dragging. You'll also be briefly introduced to drop down menus, checkboxes, radio buttons, scrolling, and cut-and-paste. This class, or mastery of the included skills, is essential for all other computer classes. Prerequisite: None.

For legal parties who have no attorney, a free legal self-help clinic will be held on the first Thursday of each month at the Belmar Library in Lakewood.  A volunteer lawyer will be available via video link to answer questions, help fill out forms and explain the process and procedure for all areas of civil litigation, including family law, property law, probate law, landlord-tenant law and much more.  No advance reservations are required - patrons will be helped on a first-come, first served basis.
