Hugo

Book clubs are fun right? Well how much more fun do you think they would be if there were movies and snacks involved too? A lot I bet. Teen Movie Club is a twist on the traditional book club. Every month you guys will read a new book, and then we will meet to watch the movie based on it. After the film, we'll discuss if it was better than the book, if it was an awful, no-good, horrible travesty, or even if it was just OK. Now I know what you're thinking, "A whole new book every month? I don't have time for that!" And that's fine too. Come and watch the movie, eat a snack, and add your thoughts on just the movie to the discussion.

Travel to Paris in the 1930's with Hugo Cabret as we watch Martin Scorsese's adaptation of Brian Selznick's novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

Summer reading

North American Monarch butterflies are amazing and beautiful. They travel thousands of miles over many generations from Mexico, across the United States, to Canada. They now need more milkweed plants to lay their eggs and things to eat so they can survive.

Join the experts from Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge as they teach about the lifecycle of a butterfly. We'll have stories and interactive fun especially designed for young kids. Space is limited to 25 kids - all of whom need a grownup to share the fun. Come see how to enjoy and save our wonderful winged friends.

Adventures of Tin Tin

Join us this month to watch and discuss The Adventures of Tintin, based on the classic comics by Hergé. The film was based on the Tintin stories The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackham's Treasure, which can be found in volume's three and four of the Tintin collections.
