This meditation group is for the novice and the advanced as well. This group will come together to practice meditation in a supportive group which will intensify the meditation experience. Meditation with a group deepens and intensifies the individual experience and science has shown that group meditation benefits spread across the community. Scientific studies show meditation benefits include: ~~ Emotional Well-being (happier, increased optimism, reduced worry and anxiety, less stress, enhanced self esteem, resilience to pain and adversity, helps prevent emotional eating and smoking) ~~ Mental Well-being (better mental strength and focus; increased memory retention and recall; better cognitive skills and critical thinking; helps manage ADHD; better decision making and problem solving) ~~ Healthier Body (improves energy level, immune system, breathing and heart rates; reduces blood pressure; lessen heart and brain problems; lessens inflammatory disorders, asthma, premenstrual and menopausal symptoms; prevents arthritis; helps reduce cancers) We will practice several forms of meditation to keep the practice fresh and alive including breathing meditation, guided meditation, esoteric practices and gong baths / singing bowls.
