Become your own celebrity and join Summer Reading at our “REaD" Carpet event.  Sign up for Summer Reading 2015 and help us reach our goal to read 1,000,001 minutes in Jeffco this summer.  Kids and teens will receive a free prize pack and book upon sign up (while supplies last!).  There will be fun activities for all ages.  Kids - go on a scavenger hunt for book celebrities, bling out a set of glasses, race with an egg and a spoon and much more.  Teens - test your engineering skills as you build a paper rollercoaster.  Participate in a community art project facilitated by local artist AWOL.  Take up the challenge and help us read 1,000,001 minutes. Sponsored by: Chick-fil-A and Del Taco.

Big Hero 6 (movie) - Rated PG. Robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada learns to harness his genius, thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion - a robot named Baymax - and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.

Do you need a little more shine in your life?  Want to feel like a celebrity with a mini Oscar?  Have a small toy that needs a little more glitter?  Bring it to the library and add some sparkle.  Gold leafing has been used on everything from illuminated manuscripts to decorating cakes.  Come to this interactive workshop to learn about leafing and then try this technique on your own trinket.

The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring.

Ready to launch your film career?  Get started in this two hour workshop for acting on camera. This is a beginning course; no experience is necessary. Learn how to act natural in front of the camera, how to ace an audition and how to be a STAR!

Into the Woods (movie) - Rated PG. A modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.
