Quiet Computing Session
| |
Quiet Computing Sessions take place in Belmar Library’s Computer Training Center. For these sessions, patrons can use a computer in a quiet environment and work uninterrupted for up to three hours on specified dates. Due to these sessions being designated as quiet sessions, the use of cell phones and stereo headphones is prohibited; patrons are also unable to print during the Quiet Computer Sessions. There is no group work allowed; only a single person is allowed on each computer. Due to limited staffing, technical assistance and one-on-one training cannot be provided during Quiet Computing Sessions. Patrons needing these services should sign up for computer classes, offered free of charge at the library. Places in a quiet computer session cannot be reserved in advance – they are first-come, first- served, and space is limited to 13 patrons.
