Get in the Game with TMARI for 45 - 60 minutes for a Complete Self-Defense Program. Our program will teach you how to protect yourself under a shock and stressful environment. Each class builds community and respect through games, and other activities encouraging and empowering teens to take risks, grow, and feel pride in their minds, bodies, and spirits. Students who wish to continue and expand upon this course after completing it, may choose to contact us after the program. In the courses teens will learn some useful and practical training techniques with their eyes, voice and body language; awareness exercises to help sharpen their instincts; boundary-setting games that help build assertiveness; and discuss some of the major safety concerns faced by young women & trans-youth and finally brainstorming ways to be safer. The beauty of our classes is that they are based on simple principles that can be learned and applied quickly and effectively.

Henry the Juggler is considered armed (and legged) and dangerous. He is known to cause spontaneous outbursts of laughter.  He speaks little, but says a great deal through his expression and body language (and road signs!). He has in his possession BALLS, CLUBS, RINGS, TORCHES and other apparatus of his trade. He is capable of changing his height through the use of stilts, and walking on a thin wire high above the ground.

WARNING:  Henry involves innocent bystanders in his act!

Minecraft Modding: Game On! In this workshop, teens learn how to "mod" or change the Minecraft world with code! This workshop introduces coding concepts by showing students how to build in the game using the Python programming language on the Raspberry Pi, a low-cost credit card sized computer designed to promote computer education. We encourage youth to "get in the game" of learning about technology. This workshop promotes mental exercise and teamwork through our activity challenges. We will provide students with information on additional learning resources beyond the scope of our workshop.

Meditation and the Brain; Our Link to Being and the Universe

How can meditation help us unravel the mysteries of life. How can it grant us insight into why we are here and what is our true purpose. How can it promote human unity and the realization that we are one, not only with all humanity, but with everything in Creation. This program will provide us with the latest research on meditation’s affect on our brain, our being, and the cosmic connection it has to our relationship with the Universe. Referencing the most recent scientific research, Dr. Post will expand our understanding of the meditative process, its rich spiritual history, and the connective link it provides to the Cosmos. There will be an opportunity to learn and participate in an introductory meditation practice and Q&A following the presentation.  Dr. Post is a chiropractic physician, a contributing author to the landmark book “Meditation as Medication for the Soul” (by best-selling author Rajinder Singh). He is an integrative medicine health care consultant, and a practitioner of meditation since 1976.
