    The Northeast Photography Club will be having a juried photography exhibit grand opening with winners announced on Thursday, Sept. 2 between 6-8PM at a free reception open to the public. Judging will be done by representatives of Guy Cali, Assoc. The photos will remain on display through September 30. They will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds coming to the Library. Music, art, and literature in one location in the Summit…what could be better?!

    A five-week series of Story Hours for children age 3 through 5 years will be held in the Children's Story Room each Tuesday morning and afternoon (10:30 to 11:00 am and 1:30 to 2:00 pm). Pre-registration is necessary either in person or by phone. The Story Hours encourage children's interaction with picture books, songs and finger plays. Simple crafts are also introduced.

    "1 - 2 - 3 Story and Playtime," an introduction to Story Hours for toddlers (ages 1- 3), will take place on four Friday mornings at 10:30 am. Customarily held on alternate Fridays, there is a slight change in the schedule for this series. The dates are September 10, September 24, October 1 and October 15. Pre-registration is unnecessary but please call for further information about the program if desired. The programs emphasize socialization and play in addition to age-appropriate read-alouds and activities.
