Free Tax Return Preparation
Certified tax preparation counselors with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will be available to assist middle and low-income taxpayers of all ages, especially seniors age 60 and over with their federal and State of IL income tax forms. Scheduled sessions are 45 minutes. If you want to have tax returns completed for more than yourself, i.e., child or parent OR your returns will take more than 45 minutes to prepare, please register for 2 consecutive sessions.

Please review the list of items to bring with you to the appointment.

You MUST bring your social security card AND photo ID; last year's and this year's tax records.

If you have brokerage accounts and other accounts with 1099 forms, please do not make an appointment sooner than March.

If you cannot keep your appointment please contact the library as soon in advance as possible so that another patron may be served.

Registration will begin: Thursday, January 2, 2014.
