Please join us for the second annual "Summer Reading Extravaganza-Discussion Days" this summer where students entering grades 6, 7, and 8 can participate in a VOLUNTARY book discussion concerning the novel Counting by 7's by Holly Goldberg-Sloan.  The book discussion days will be filled with lively book-chats, hands-on work stations, light refreshments and raffles, and a whole lot of fun!  To connect the theme of "community" in the novel, please bring a canned or non-perishable food items to the book discussion, which will be donated to Wisdom Lane's food pantry as a part of a community service learning project.  Projects from the hands-on work stations will be displayed at a "Summer Showcase" in the fall.  When registering, please choose one of the following work stations:

Hands-On Work Station 1 - Willow's Garden - Create a "garden" of thoughts by learning how to make paper origami plants and flowers!

Hands-On Work Station 2 - Scene It! - Create a 3D triarama of a scene that you enjoyed from the novel.  If you like to cut, glue, embellish and design in 3D, this is the workshop for you!
