AARP Tax-Aide is a free tax counseling and preparation service helping low and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older.  AARP Tax Aides do not prepare returns that include rental property, military income, alternative minimum tax, or those with many stock transactions.  AARP Tax-Aide is administered by the AARP Foundation, in cooperation with the IRS.

Electronic filing (e*filing) is recommended by the IRS.  Taxpayers who e*file receive refunds more rapidly.  Bring current tax records and a copy of your last filed tax return.  All persons listed on the tax return must be present and must bring a photo ID and a Social Security card or 1099SSA letter (Medicare card is not sufficient).  New York and Federal Income Tax Forms are available at the Reference Desk, or call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

Adult Registration for

Free AARP Income Tax-Aide for ages 60+

Monday, December 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Innovation Station
