Earn your Cadette Book Artist Badge
Saturday, November 4 at 10:30 a.m. -----Lincoln Township Public Library in Stevensville, MI
How exactly is a book made? The craft of creating books has evolved over time, but the basic human
need to share words and pictures has stayed the same. In this workshop, participants will glue, stitch, and
fold to create a unique piece of art. They will: explore the art of bookbinding by surveying a book collection,
get hands-on experience mending a book, try out different bookbinding techniques, and ultimately take
home a finished book crafted by their own hands. Cadettes will complete all steps required to earn the
badge; troops will need to purchase the badges individually. Registration for this free program is required,
and space is limited. To register, visit lincolnlib.org or call the Lincoln Township Public Library at 429-9575.
