One very energetic hour filled with activities and experiments to demonstrate the science behind the interaction of our bodies and sports. Children will explore center of gravity and 3-D vision concepts, and see electrolytes in action. They will test their reaction time with a “React-O-Meter” they will keep and take home.

Exactly how much sugar is in that drink?!!  In this interactive program, you will discover the amount of sugar in various drinks.  You may be shocked!!  You will learn how to measure the amount of sugar in some popular drink choices. An overview of how to read a nutrition label will be provided to make you more aware of what is in your drinks. Healthier drink choices will be discussed.  This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Manhasset Public Library.

To finish up, you will be introduced to the basics of polymers and learn our secret formula to make your own “Mad Science Goo”.  This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Manhasset Public Library.

Join A Time for Kids for an hour of preschool fun all about math, reading and school skill readiness! Activities include singing, dancing, storytelling and much more. Make and bring home a school bus craft.

Are you a boy that will be in 4th-6th grade in September? Do you like to read and discuss what you’ve read? Want to play some games and have a snack? If so, then sign up for our Boys Book Club! We’ll read some cool books. Sign up online between Wednesday, July 20 and Wednesday August 3. Then stop by on Tuesday, August 16 at 7pm to get to know each other, discuss what types of books you want to read, what your favorite snacks are, and pick up the first book! We’ll meet monthly through the year!
