Sign up, log your books, and be entered into a raffle drawing at the end of the summer. Start reading today! This program runs until August 31.

Adult Summer Reading is open to all ages over 18. Sponsored by your library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Board of Library Commissioners, and the Boston Bruins.  Some summer programs funded by the Mansfield Bank Charitable Foundation.

The 2016 Summer Library Adventure officially begins on June 18!  Signing up is super easy!  Children and youth ages 0-13 may drop in any time beginning on the 18th and put their name on one of our paper megaphones.  Take a reading log and bookmark, a sheet of raffle slips, and one of our schedules of events.  You are ready to go!. We do raffles for reading & listening each week, so there are lots of chances to win. Best of all, you will enjoy some terrific books this summer!This program runs until August 31.

Be sure to check out our full schedule of events.  We offer lots of fun activities for children and their families during the summer.

Insects Buzzing Honeybees

Act out the jobs of honeybees in the hive as they grow up. Play a flower pollination game.

A Drum Circle is a highly interactive group of people who play drums and percussion instruments together to create in-the-moment music. Through the experience of rhythm and sound we experience what it means to beat as one heart: we become a vibrant community. With playful and accessible rhythm activities, games, traditional ensemble pieces, songs and most importantly improvisation, DRUM TO THE BEAT! drum circles supports and encourages:

The Mansfield Public Library’s teen book club is hosted by the reference/teen librarian Amy Rosa. Join us for an informal book chat after school at 3p.m. in the teen area. This month's selection will be Doctor Who The Twelfth Doctor: Volume 1 Terrorformer. "Newly regenerated, the Doctor is already on the move coming up against an ancient alien murdering her way towards resurrection as she impersonates the goddess Kali and a violent star on a terraformed ice planet."

We will also talk about whatever books you are currently reading and you will have the opportunity to vote on next month’s book! The teen book club is open to any students in grades 6 to 12. The Mansfield Public Library warmly welcomes Ken Lelen to perform in a vintage guitar concert called "He Did it His Way." This concert celebrates the lives, romances, careers and songs of Frank Sinatra, Les Brown, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Dorsey, Vaughn Monroe, Bing Crosby, Satchmo, Artie Shaw, Nat King Cole, Mills Brothers and other Big Band stars.

Vintage guitarist Ken Lelen sings classic American ragtime, jazz, and swing tunes and pairs each song with a vintage acoustic guitar for an authentic back-in-the-day sound. He has played steel-stringed acoustic guitar for more than five decades and brings to each concert several of his 20th century acoustic guitars. For 16 years he has enthralled audiences at various venues, playing 100 concerts a year on the East Coast.

This program is free and open to all ages. No registration required.

The Mansfield Public Library welcomes Bob Woolf, Executive Director and Financial Advisor of J.P. Morgan Securities in Boston to host this free workshop on Social Security and Retirement. In his role, Bob looks to educate groups about retirement and Social Security with research backed by the firm. His presentations are insightful experiences that will assist attendees in making informed decisions for years to come.
