Write to a friend, a soldier, your sister, your niece. Share some news, a comic strip from the paper, or a funny story. Say, “Thank you for...”

The Mail Call Program is a chance for patrons to learn from instructor Denise Varano a little bit about the history of letter writing as well as some fun and exciting ways that the art of the letter has evolved over the years. It is also a chance for patrons to get inspired and practice writing letters and notes to loved ones of their own.

This session will focus on how letters can create special moments and connections between writer and recipient, strengthening relationships in seemingly small, but important ways.

There will be ample time to write in the workshop. Materials and stamps for 3 notes will be included, along with examples, handouts and inspiration! This program is for adults and teens, but pace is limited, so make sure to register today and reserve your spot!

    Contact: Karen Mattes   (508) 624-6992   kmattes@cwmars.org

Marlborough Public Library’s adult book club meets the third week of each month, except where that week includes a Monday holiday.  (Please check our calendar for any scheduling changes.)  Members can choose to come on Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. or Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. to noon.  The same title is discussed at both meetings.  Refreshments are provided by the library and volunteers.  All are welcome to join!

This month there is no book! Instead, we are having a social hour for members to discuss their favorite books, new reads, and to be the first to see the reading list for 2015!

Register online using our Evanced program to be able to log the books you read and write reviews! While registration is not required for participation, it would be greatly appreciated by the staff, especially if you prefer to read large print or listen to audio books to ensure we have enough copies.
