This month we're journeying to Wonderland with Heartless by Marissa Meyer: In this prequel to Alice in Wonderland, Cath would rather open a bakery and marry for love than accept a proposal from the King of Hearts, especially after meeting the handsome and mysterious court jester.

Intended for grades 9-12. Registration is not required but will help us plan for snacks!

This month's book is The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin: Twelve-year-old Suzy Swanson wades through her intense grief over the loss of her best friend by investigating the rare jellyfish she is convinced was responsible for her friend's death.

Join artist Jeannie Hunt for Suitcase Stories, a bookmaking workshop for tweens and teens. Build a suitcase-shaped accordion book with pockets. Then learn to make booklets and brochures to fill the pockets in the suitcase. Tell a travel story in a series of travel journals, brochures, menus, maps, and imaginary letters. Write about a place you have visited, or about an imaginary journey.

This month's book is Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar: Tamaya Dhilwaddi and Marshall Walsh walk to and from school together since elementary school. But their routine is disrupted when bully Chad Wilson starts a fight with Marshall. To avoid Chad, Marshall and Tamaya take a shortcut home through the off-limits woods. They are soon lost, and they find trouble. More trouble than anyone could imagine.
