The Massachusetts State Committee welcomes Derrick L. Boykin, the new Northeast Regional Organizer for Bread for the World (BFW) Derrick is no stranger to BFW members in the Northeast. A few years ago, he briefly filled in for Jim Stipe when Jim was on sabbatical. After that he was a Local Church Outreach Associate, then did graduate studies and is now back with Bread. He is working out of New York City and can be reached at dboykin@bread.org. Bread for the World is the largest grassroots advocacy network on domestic and international hunger issues. It is a Christian, nonpartisan organization whose members lobby their senators and congressmen for legislation to reduce hunger in the United States and worldwide. We focus on using the power we have as citizens in a democracy to support policies that address the root causes of hunger and poverty.
