Join us for a Wise Walk around Renzie Park. Meet at the McKeesport Heritage Center at 3:30 to walk as a group, or walk on your own and meet at the Heritage Center at 4:30 to record your steps. Free pedometer and t-shirt for new members and weekly snack! We'll track your steps for you and calculate how many miles you've walked! No registration necessary. This program brought to you by the Allegheny County Library Association in collaboration with AARP and UPMC for Life.

Science in the Summer is a program sponsored by the Carnegie Science Center and GlaxoSmithKline. The program runs 4 days (June 18-21), and parents must commit to bringing their child all 4 days, Tuesday through Friday. Each session is approximately 45 to 60 minutes long. Class size is limited to 18 students per class. **Since space is limited, YOU NEED TO REGISTER IN ADVANCE. Registration opens on Friday, June 7th at 11 a.m. To be considered registered, you need to come to the children's library with your signed parent permission form. You can pick that permission for up in the children's library starting June 3rd. Science in the Summer is for children going into 2nd through 6th grades. Our 9:30 class is geared for 2nd and 3rd grades.
