This panel discussion with NJ editors and event coordinators will be of special interest to poets and writers who seek publishing opportunities and venues. Come meet Diane Lockward of Terrapin Books; Mike Northen of Wordgathering: A Journal of Disability and Poetry; Denise La Neve and Paul Nash – hosts of the popular North Jersey Literary Reading Series in Teaneck, NJ, who recently published Meta-Land: poets of the Palisades II. There will be 20-25 minutes allotted time per panelist and their contributors, followed by a question & answer session. Thousands of used, gently-read books will be available at the Friends of the Lawrence Library Book Sale. A special preview night will be held Friday, January 29. The library will be closed for normal operations during the preview event but you will have the first chance to get some amazing deals. Admission to the Preview Night is free for members of the Friends of the Lawrence Library, $5 for the general public, and $20 for booksellers. This event is the only time booksellers will be permitted to use scanning devices.

Thousands of used, gently-read books will be available at the Friends of the Lawrence Library Book Sale. A special preview night will be held Friday, January 29. The library will be closed for normal operations during the preview event but you will have the first chance to get some amazing deals. Admission to the Preview Night is free for members of the Friends of the Lawrence Library, $5 for the general public, and $20 for booksellers. This event is the only time booksellers will be permitted to use scanning devices.

On Saturday, June 10th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System will be hosting the world’s only science fiction convention devoted to the work of legendary author R. A. Lafferty. The library will have panel discussions introducing readers to Lafferty’s work, a presentation by the artist Anthony Rhodes discussing his Lafferty-inspired art, and discussions of Lafferty’s influential novel, Fourth Mansion.
