The film follows the journey of a spirited teenager named Moana as she meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui, and together they traverse the open ocean, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds.

Instructed by high school students in Camp Fire NJ’s Teens on Fire Program, with adult supervision.

The children attending will learn the health risk and dangers of smoking and second hand smoke through a story called the “Uninvited Guest: Becky and Friends Make their World Smoke-Free.” Each student will be given a copy of the booklet to keep.

After the story the students will be given a handout where they will have the opportunity to make a poster stating “I am Making My World Smoke Free.” Students will be asked to think about what that statement means to them and add pictures, drawings or other words that they think are important.

The children’s activity room will be open to families. Fun and educational toys are housed in this room for independent play and learning.

*Although partially separated, this room is not soundproof and ongoing noise can be heard in the library where other visitors and staff are present. We ask caregivers to stay aware and monitor their noise and activity levels.

I Survived Science Challenge Part 2 will focus on Hurricane Katrina and the Destruction of Pompeii.  We will see if your building can endure hurricane force winds and build an erupting volcano!

Program will promote sun safety by teaching children and their caregivers how to protect themselves from overexposure to ultraviolet radiation and stay "sun safe" every day.  Includes material created by the EPA and the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
