Instructed by high school students in Camp Fire NJ’s Teens on Fire Program, with adult supervision.

The children attending will learn the health risk and dangers of smoking and second hand smoke through a story called the “Uninvited Guest: Becky and Friends Make their World Smoke-Free.” Each student will be given a copy of the booklet to keep.

After the story the students will be given a handout where they will have the opportunity to make a poster stating “I am Making My World Smoke Free.” Students will be asked to think about what that statement means to them and add pictures, drawings or other words that they think are important.

Kids will learn the fundamentals of computer science and will be introduced to Java syntax. Through this course, the concepts of object-oriented programming as well as decision structures will be explored. Kids must bring their own laptop, and be ready for a challenge.

Registration required. Once registered, you will be signed up for all classes as they build up from what was taught previously.
