misc_none 7:30 PM A Celebration of Authors - Steve Buckley    
    The Melrose Public Library will host sportswriter, WEEI commentator, and author Steve Buckley on Thursday, December 3rd at 7:30 pm. Buckley will be the second author to speak in the library’s “A Celebration of Authors” series.

Buckley will be talking about his new book “Wicked Good Year” which was just recently released in October. Wicked Good Year is an insightful, celebratory look at Boston’s mega-successful 2007-2008 sports season.

Steve Buckley has been a sportswriter for more than 30 years, and has been a columnist with the Boston Herald since 1995. He has appeared on Sportsradio 850 WEEI since 1993, and is a regular panelist on “The Big Show” on afternoon drive. He is also a co-host on “The Baseball Show,” simulcast on Comcast Sports New England and WEEI, and appears frequently on NESN.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase the night of the program and Steve will be available to sign them following the program.

“A Celebration of Authors” series is supported in part by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency and the Melrose Public Library.
