Join us for a book discussion of Dinaw Mengestu's How to Read the Air. Leaving behind his marriage and job in New York, Jonas, the son of Ethiopian immigrants, sets out to retrace his mother and father's trip and weave together a family history that will take him from the war-torn Ethiopia of his parents' youth to his life in the America of today.

Babysitting Basics, Part 1 of 2

Students age 12 and up who want to be better babysitters may sign up for this two-day workshop provided by the Morton Grove Fire Department, Morton Grove Police Department, and MGPL. The workshops focus on safety for young children, their families, and their care-givers. Class size is limited; registration is for both days.
