In June 2009, NASA launched the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, a spacecraft designed to study the Moon in greater detail than ever before. Michelle Nichols from Chicago’s Adler Planetarium will talk about the exploration of the Moon, present the latest information and images from the LRO mission, and highlight the recent amazing discovery of water ice at the Moon’s south pole.
