Entries will be accepted for the 37th Annual Children's Art Contest Saturday, May 1 through Sunday, August 8, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.. Winning entries will be displayed in the Baxter Room in September, then on the east stairwell leading down to the Youth Services Department for one year.
Prizes will be awarded in each of four categories:

Biography: Enrico Caruso

Biographer Jack Diamond presents the life story and musical career of the greatest tenor ever: Enrico Caruso, who made his operatic debut in March, 1895, in Naples. He was the first recording star in history who sold more than a million records with his 1902 recording of Vesti le gubba from "Pagliacci." Caruso died at age 48 of complications from pneumonia.

Yoga - for Stress Reduction

Stress is a major contributor of illness. Learn to recognize signs of stress in your body and simple yoga poses that will help you relieve tension, some of which can be done anytime, and anywhere. This presentation by registered yoga teacher (RYT -200) Allison Wilmes includes breath awareness exercises to promote relaxation and a guided meditation.
