    Not Just Another Teen Art Show is an exhibit that incorporates a wide variety of artworks created by Visual Art students at Niles West High School. The artworks were developed through various class and independent art assignments. Students enrolled in the Visual Arts curriculum, are exposed to a wide range of techniques and art media throughout their four-year art experience. No matter the course level, art students are encouraged to develop a unique, creative and personal response to assignments and to make risk-taking part of their daily routine. Visual Arts Teachers: John Zilewicz, Jr., Barb Wisner, and Deanne Sortino. Art students from Niles West will be exhibiting their work in the Baxter Room through January.

    Starting at 11:30: Travelog: Korea has distinct shopping districts and streets for specific kinds of commodities. The first part of this documentary features Namdaemun, Insadong, and Myeongdong shopping areas. Enjoy the colorful changing of the guard ceremony at 14th century Gyeongbok Palace and tour Changedok Palace built in the early 15th century. The Korean Folk Village near Suwon has performances of horsemanship, dance and acrobatics. You'll see the largest fish market in Korea, Jeju Island, Mount Hala, deep sea diving, and carvings from lava rock.

Starting at 12:30: The Way Home (Korean with subtitles, 2003, PG, 88 min.): Through an elderly and old-fashioned grandmother, a spoiled seven-year-old boy learns to accept and understand the simple pleasures of nature and her lifestyle.

    Babette, a refugee from France's civil war, arrives in a remote hamlet in Denmark, and joins the household of two pious spinsters, devout daughters of a puritan minister who preached salvation through self-denial. After many years, Babette unexpectedly wins a lottery, and decides to create a French dinner in memory of the late minister. Joining them for the meal will be a Danish general who, as a young soldier, courted one of the sisters, but she turned him away because of her religion. The village elders resolve not to enjoy the meal, but can their moral fiber resist the sensual pleasure of Babette's cooking?
