The movement of 120,000 Japanese Americans into incarceration camps was later declared by the Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians to be caused by "wartime hysteria, racial prejudice, and a failure of political leadership." Morton Grove resident Anne Shimojima shares the experiences of her family in an incarceration camp during World War II and photos of a recent trip to Manzanar camp, showing what it looks like today.
