Aaron Cadieux and Manny Famolare, co-directors of The Bridgewater Triangle, will screen their film on Friday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m.  The 91-minute documentary will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the co-directors, and is free and open to the public.  Please note that the library is usually closed on Fridays, but will open this evening for the movie only. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.

The Bridgewater Triangle sits within the Southeastern portion of Massachusetts, and includes a number of locations known for unexplained occurrences, the most prominent of which include the legendary Hockomock Swamp and the infamous Freetown/Fall River State Forest. The Triangle’s traditional borders are revealed by connecting the dots between the town of Abington to the north, the town of Freetown to the southeast, and the town of Rehoboth to the southwest. The region hosts an unusually high volume of reports involving strange occurrences, unexplained mysteries and sinister activities. From ghostly hauntings and cryptic animal sightings, to UFO encounters and evidence of satanic ritual sacrifice, the Bridgewater Triangle serves as one of the world’s most diverse hotspots for paranormal activity.

The Bridgewater Triangle film presents the reports of odd occurrences and unexplained mysteries from the region in a way which allows viewers to make their own determinations regarding the legitimacy of the Bridgewater Triangle’s existence.  It features a number of local residents providing first-hand, eyewitness accounts of unexplained occurrences in the region. In addition, an all-star assembly of paranormal researchers, folklorists and authors provide expert analysis regarding the many mysteries of the Triangle, including:

  • Loren Coleman, the author and world-renowned cryptozoologist who dubbed the 200-square-mile region in southeastern Massachusetts, “The Bridgewater Triangle” in his 1983 work, Mysterious America;
  •  Middleborough Public Library favorite Jeff  Belanger, one of the most visible and prolific paranormal researchers today;
  • Christopher Balzano, a paranormal researcher and author who has written two books detailing accounts of paranormal activity within the Bridgewater Triangle; and
  • Chris Pittman,  a paranormal researcher who has been investigating odd occurrences in Southeastern Massachusetts for a number of years and who is regarded as one of the foremost authorities on all aspects of the Bridgewater Triangle.
