  different area of personal finance.

This program is called Foundations of Investing, and is for those who are new to investing or need a refresher. This class will teach participants
the basic rules of investing. In a world full of media-induced panic and uncertainty, attendees will learn how to develop a strategy, properly
diversify their portfolio, invest for the long term, and focus on what they can control.

Joshua E. Singer is a local financial professional who understands the needs of individual investors and the challenges they face, and believes it his mission to give back to the communities that have given so much to
him. Apart from his professional interests Josh is an avid Boston sports fan and enjoys time with his family.

Barbour has been cooking professionally in the Boston area since 1992 and started "Liz Barbour's Creative Feast" in 2004. Her cooking demonstrations and recipes have been featured on "New Hampshire Chronicle," "Cook's Corner" (on channel 9), and in various publications including "New Hampshire Magazine."  Liz is an avid home gardener and often uses her own fresh herbs and edible flowers in her cooking demos.

Liz shares her skills as a working chef and entertaining communicator whose relaxed and humorous attitudes toward food demystify the cooking process. Sit back and watch while she prepares and presents exciting dishes for you and your friends to enjoy, while focusing on basic cooking techniques, knife skills, healthy ingredient combinations, and the use of herbs and spices to enhance flavors.

Fans of the The Delvena Theatre Company's "Meet Julia Child!" show last January will be happy to hear that the acting troupe is returning this month with their performance of "Lizzie Borden and the 40 Whacks."

On a scorching hot day in Fall River, back in August of 1892, a heinous crime occurred.  Spinster Lizzie Borden was accused, tried, and acquitted for the vicious axe murders of her father and stepmother. This true unsolved mystery has fascinated people for more than 100 years. Two people died on that day in 1892, but Lizzie continues to live on in American folklore.

The live performance includes a mock trial that invites the audience to participate by questioning Lizzie, and voting on her guilt or innocence.  This “edutainment” production features Lynne Moulton and Joseph Zamparelli in multiple roles depicting Lizzie’s story and educating the audience members so that they may be informed “jurists”. Did she or didn’t she?  Let the audience be the judge.

The cast opens up to the audience for discussion after the performance.

PLEASE NOTE: This production is not recommended for children younger than 10 years old.

The Delvena Theatre Company has been entertaining audiences for more than 20 years with plays that are thought-provoking, often humorous, and always enriching.
