		Dianne-Marie Hervey, daughter of Lt. Col. Henry "Hank" Hervey, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen and bomber pilot in WWII, presents, "Black Eagles: The Tuskegee Airmen Experience." Hervey will tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American aviators in the United States Armed Forces, who flew during World War II. She will provide details not generally known, including the unnecessary hardships caused by racial discrimination, the brave and determined struggles for support, and the many successes and accomplishments of the Tuskegee Airmen. This free program is made possible thanks to the support of the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library. No registration is required. Hervey's appearance is part of the “Groundbreaking Reads” 2013 Adult Summer Reading Program. Please note that the program takes place during hours the library is regularly closed. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m.
