Announcing Millvale's first ever Environment & Health Fair! Local and outside organizations are joining together to provide a day of food, fun, and family friendly activities. Save the date! More details to follow.

The day will be full of activities, including:
-Volunteer Day in the morning
-Health & Wellness Resources & Activities
-Kick-off of Millvale's Needs Assessment, a project to learn from Millvale residents how to best serve the community's needs
-Solar Installation Celebration at Millvale Community Center with Millvale's Teen Solar Fellows
-Self guided tours of Millvale's sustainability projects, including rain gardens, bioswales, community garden, solar installations, and bike-ped infrastructure

Free health information, health screenings and other wellness classes will be occurring on April 29th at the Millvale Community Center. Details are to come.

January 7:  Beeswax Hand Lotion made with Local Beeswax with Denise Rudar, Millvale Beekeeper

February 4:  Pottery with Dan Kuhn, Artist and Owner of Ton Pottery in Millvale

March 4:  Printmaking with Rachel Rearick, Society for Contemporary Craft and MCL

April 1:  Mead Making (21+) with Juliette Goirand-Vey, Mead Hobbyist

May 6:  Pittsburgh-Themed Embroidery with Nora Peters, Maker Program Director at MCL

Delicious tea and brunch snacks will be provided by Tupelo Honey Teas!

The program is FREE, however, we ask that you consider making a $5 donation (per person) to cover supplies for the event.  Donations will be collected during the event.

Immediately following Family Infant and Toddler Story Time, join Miss Nora for Mini-Makers!  This time is set aside to let our wee friends explore their creative side, while building critical thinking skills and improving motor functions!  Come "make" with us!  A toddler-friendly snack is included!  FREE

Open play time at the library is for families and young children to explore and play with friends.  During this time, we clear the floor of tables and chairs, pull out the toddler toys and train table, and let the fun begin.  Consider a play date with friends!  Parents and caregivers, the adjacent tea shop is open for a variety of teas and lunch options.  Feel free to bring your food back to the library to relax while the little ones play.
