This course is open to licensed drivers of any age.  Completion of this course enables drivers to save 10%on their auto insurance for three years.  In-person registration only will begin on Monday, September 12th, 2016 at the Reference Desk.  At the time of registration, we must receive a check or money order of  for each attendee, in the amount of $20.00 for AARP members  or $25.00 for nonmembers, payable to AARP.  We cannot accept one check for multiple attendees.  The course will be held in the library's Community Room.  Access is via the lobby stairs or elevator.

Dress your pet in their costumed best and bring them down to the parade.  Once we return to the library, each child will have an opportunity to step up to the stage (with their pet) to show their pet's unique talents!  Pets may participate in the parade by walking, being carried, or in a wagon.  All pets must be leashed or in a cage/container.  Participants are expected to clean up after their pets.

We will be showing The Big Parade, a silent film, in which a young American soldier witnesses the horrors of the Great War.  This will be the first of a series of American films about World War I, produced between 921 and 1933.  The Big Parade stars John Gilbert, Renee Adoree, Claire McDowell, Hobart Bosworth, Claire Adams, Tom O'Brien, and Karl Dane.  150 minutes.
