flags_usa.png American Flag Disposal Box Remind Me about this Event   Tell a Friend

The Colts Neck branch of the Monmouth County Library system has a Flag Disposal Box located in the lower level lobby. Proper disposal of the American flag is a sign of respect. It honors our history, the people who fight to protect our freedom and is an homage to the reverence for our great nation. When a flag is worn, tattered, ripped or soiled beyond repair, it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country and should be retired and disposed of properly.

Please drop off flags during library hours.

Top Notch Resumes 2 Advanced:  A Free Jersey Job Club Workshop

Your resume is your primary marketing tool in your job search: It's your brochure, advertisement and brand: Your resume is you on paper! It provides an opportunity to capture an employer's attention by making a positive first impression. This workshop will build on the topics covered in the Top Notch Resumes I - Basic Workshop. In addition to the different resume formats and basic layouts, participants will see the advantages of targeting custom resumes for a specific employer, job openings and/or industry. Topics will also include how to detail accomplishments, achievements, and develop an effective summary/profile. A discussion on using a professional cover letter and references are reviewed as well.

This program is made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The Jersey Job Club gives you the tools and support you need to find a job.  To find a good job in challenging times, successful job seekers look for opportunities to get an edge.  The Jersey Job Club gives you that edge through New Jersey Career Connections.

One Sunday afternoon in Southern California, Bert Cousins shows up at Franny Keating’s christening party uninvited. Before evening falls, he has kissed Franny’s mother, Beverly—thus setting in motion the dissolution of their marriages and the joining of two families.

Spending summers together in Virginia, the Keating and Cousins children forge a lasting bond that is based on a shared disillusionment with their parents and the strange and genuine affection that grows up between them.
