misc_none 7:00 PM  -  8:30 PM Human Trafficking – Does That Really Happen Here?

Presented by St. Bernadette Pastoral Council in partnership with Monroeville Interfaith Ministerium

•             What is human trafficking?

•             Are drugs involved?

•             Does this really happen in Pittsburgh?

•             Why don’t victims leave or escape?

•             What do we look for as a community, and how can we help?

Join us for a presentation and discussion on human trafficking led by Denise Foltz, Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ms. Foltz will answer these questions and share her experiences with human trafficking in the Pittsburgh area. There will be time allotted at the end of the presentation for questions from the audience.

FBI Special Agent Denise Foltz is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. She joined the FBI in 1997 and was assigned to the Pittsburgh Division after completing her training at the FBI Academy at Quantico, Virginia. Her investigative responsibilities have included fugitives, bank robberies, interstate transportation of stolen property, crimes against children, public corruption, and civil rights, with a specialization in human trafficking. Special Agent Foltz is currently assigned as a Pittsburgh Division coordinator for the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crimes and is a certified FBI instructor.
