Enjoy the company of other readers as we discuss a new book the third Saturday of each month.  Our club has been meeting continually since 2001, but we always welcome new members!  Dr. Harold Halbert will lead the discussion.

February's Saturday Book Club selection is “Our Souls at Night,” by Kent Haruf.  This book inspired what will be a major motion picture this year, starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda.

This book is a spare yet eloquent, bittersweet yet inspiring story of a man and a woman who, in advanced age, come together to wrestle with the events of their lives and their hopes for the imminent future.  Their brave adventures—their pleasures and their difficulties—are hugely involving and truly resonant, making "Our Souls at Night" the perfect final installment to this beloved writer’s enduring contribution to American literature. - (Random House, Inc.)

Copies of the book are available at the front desk.

Registration is encouraged.  Please visit the Front Desk or call to register.
