The Penn State Extension Dining With Diabetes program helps people with type 2 diabetes identify and understand important information about managing and preventing this disease.
Learning that you have diabetes can be overwhelming at first. There are many new things to learn and it can be difficult to know where to start. In our program, registered Dietitians or Certified Diabetes Educators will lead discussions addressing:
• Important numbers you need to know
• Planning healthy meals
• Healthy food preparation
• Physical activity
 

Dining with Diabetes, a program for adults with diabetes and their families presented by Penn State Extension.  This program is free and made possible through a grant from the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.

An information and registration session will be held Friday, October 3, 2014.  Lab tests will offered to measure A1c and blood pressure. 

 

Registration required and participants will attend programs for 5 weeks on Friday mornings.  A post-program follow-up session will be held on January 16, 2015.
