Mary and Cal
From jazz to blues to pop, Mary and Cal cover all of these styles tastefully as a duo with unique arrangements of classics and new music.
Mary Kaczorowski, Vocals, has performed for local performance groups such as the Tri-County Choir Institute and the Harmony Singers, and has trained under numerous vocal coaches, including Pittsburgh’s beloved Maureen Budway. Over the years, she has delighted her family and friends with her smooth tones and unique renditions of many of your favorite jazz standards and pop/rock classics. She is now happy to be sharing her talents with the public as a seasoned and professional vocalist. From Route 66 to Dear Prudence, she performs a wide variety of styles and genres that any crowd is sure to recognize and enjoy.
Cal Robol, Guitars & Backing vocals, is a former music educator and has performed numerous styles in the past, including jazz, acoustic, and rock. After a 10 year hiatus from performing, Cal is back in the groove again, teaming up with Mary to hit the circuit. Cal is a versatile jazz guitarist that covers many different flavors of jazz, including bop, latin, and blues. Cal studied jazz guitar at Duquesne University under the instruction of Mark Koch, where he not only learned and developed his skills on the guitar, but also gained a life long love of the jazz style where guitar is an inseparable part. His musical influences include the music of Joe Pass, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Wes Montgomery, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, the list goes on.

Squirrel Hillbillies
From deep within the urban forest of Pittsburgh's East End, the Squirrel Hillbillies often emerge to share their eclectic mix of folk, country and blues.
Rabidly social and clawingly curious, they relish opportunities to interact with diverse audiences. They have performed more than 250 shows, including appearances at the Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh and the Leigh Folk Festival in England. Through a collaborative, nonlinear songwriting process, duo partners Jenny Wolsk Bain and Gary Crouth draw from personal experiences, third-hand stories, and vivid imaginations to craft songs that are unpredictable and quirky yet widely accessible. Their CDs have gotten radio play on stations across the US and around the world.

Concerts will be held in the library's outdoor courtyard. In the event of rain, they will move inside.

Red Beans & Rice Combo

Why are they called The Red Beans and Rice Combo, you might ask…because you can get fries or a biscuit with the combo but you’ll always choose the biscuit because that’s the way they roll— as they play a very cool mix of classic New Orleans R&B, 50’s rock ala Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry, Mose Allison, Tom Waits, Slim Galliard and Louis Jordan—SUPER FUN TUNES!

The Combo features the world celebrated early jazz stride pianist, Tom Roberts (a Foxburg regular) on piano, whistling, & vocals, along with Dave Klug on drums and his custom-built “Kluger Soundboard,” and Wayno on vocals, harmonica, & ukulele.  Mt. Lebanonites Dave and Wayno are also well-known artists.

The fun-loving , sharp-dressed band has been gigging around Pittsburgh for a little over a year, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering a danceable mix of New Orleans R&B, early rock & roll nuggets, and barroom ballads, with a jazzy dash of Tin Pan Alley, and a generous side of wit & humor.

Concerts will be held in the library's outdoor courtyard. In the event of rain, they will move inside.
