The Bad Ladies of Whitesboro- Grandview Cemetery
| |
Our village has many admirably influential men buried in its cemetery, but oh, the women! The most popular and memorable spots on the Whitesboro's Grandview Cemetery tours are a cluster of graves at the top of the hill-"The Bad Ladies of Whitesboro". They leave a coloful but less than inspiring story behind them. We will look at what they did, how we k now about them, what action was taken, and what remains for research. Join us for a look at Martha, Frances, Prudence, Calista, Caroline, and of course, Miss Abby. Program given by
Susan F. Lorraine, Association for Gravestone Studies
