TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. The library is offering a way for patrons to view pre-recorded presentations, share and discuss the powerful concepts.

Join Professor Nancy Shuster and improve your writing. Beginning Friday, July20th from 10:00am until 11:30 am class will meet at the Maury Loontjens Library for four consecutive Friday  mornings. Share your writing in a supportive setting.  Space is limited to 12 so register early to reserve  your place. Save the dates 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10. Registration opens 6/26. The class is free. Join us on our annual summer scavenger hunt! Pick up your map at the library and set out on a hunt around town to complete your map. This family event will finish out back at the library with a "traditional R.I. treat." Registration is required.
