A Community of Gardeners
|

Join us for the first program of our adult summer reading program, "Groundbreaking Reads."
First we'll watch A Community of Gardeners, an hour-long documentary about the value of community gardens. Then join Gate City Community Gardens for a Q & A about community gardens in Downtown Nashua, and a seed swap.
Bring your extra vegetable, flower, and herb seeds or seedlings to give away, and pick up some to bring home. Please include a short written description of what they are and how to grow them.

Spring Book/Film Retreat: The Weight of Water

Get away for a day to talk about The Weight of Water by Anita Shreve, watch Kathryn Bigelow's film inspired by the book, and then compare the two. Discussions will be led by Southern New Hampshire University literature instructor Lisa Allen.
At this event, we'll also be announcing the title of the 2013 Nashua Reads book, and you'll be the first to have the opportunity to check out a copy. We'll also be taking signups for our Adult Summer Reading program. Lunch will be served, compliments of the Tamposi-Nash Real Estate Group. Registration required.
Copies of the book will be available for borrowing. Please note on the registration form if you need one.
