This class is designed for public librarians and secondary school librarians, teachers, nurses, and counselors. The hands-on class will present an overview of health information needs of teenagers and their information seeking behaviors; review communication skills needed during reference interviews with teenagers; and explore credible health information resources that are designed for teens.

Presented by: Lydia Collins, Consumer Health Coordinator, National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region (NN/LM, MAR).
Co-sponsored by: Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC)
This hands-on workshop is limited to 28 participants.
All participants will receive 3 hours of Medical Library Association (MLA) Continuing Education Units.

See Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Opening Weekend with the NCLA Pop Culture Committee!

This is a private screening party for NCLA members, family, and friends.

Admission is $10 per person, which includes ticket, refillable popcorn/soda, and pizza lunch.

Registration is required by Friday, December 4.

Checks only, payable to NCLA. No refunds, sorry!

The screening will be held at Bellmore Playhouse, 525 Bedford Avenue, NY 11710.

Please arrive by 10:00AM for the 10:30AM showing. Parking is behind the theater.
