Join us at the Chateau Restaurant at 131 River Road in Andover on Monday, June 3rd from 11:15am-close (10pm), and a portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit our Friends. Please be sure to pick up your ticket at our public service desks and present it at the restaurant.

Tickets are good for take out orders, but do not apply to delivery orders. Only one ticket per group is required. Enjoy!

    The Nevins Library GLBT group is open to any adult (18+) who is interested in reading quality fiction, non-fiction and biography on GLBT topics and themes or by gay/lesbian authors. Book discussions are held at the Library on Thursday evenings 7-8pm. Books are available one month prior to the discussion. You may pick up books at the previous meeting, or you may get them at the Main Desk anytime the Library is open. Please bring your library card to the meeting to check books out. In the case of cancellation for bad weather or any other reason, the meeting will be held on the following Thursday evening. Cancellation information is posted on the Library’s voice mail, and announced on WCCM-Radio. Additional Book Discussion information is available on our web site at www.nevinslibrary.org . A Home at the End of the World by Michael Cunningham
Compare this coming of age novel with the one we read earlier by Edmund White…set in the 1980’s this is the story of two young men from Cleveland who make their way to New York and end up living together with a desperate young woman who tries to relate to them both. We will have both the book and the 2004 movie available for members to read/view.

    Miss Amy and Miss Shirley will bring in some of the tools and tricks to show you the beautiful and ancient art of spinning wool into yarn and then taking that yarn and making it into cloth. Both of these accomplished artists have been working with wool for many years and are happy to share with you the experience of taking wool from the sheep and bringing it all the way to a finished garment or blanket. They will also have on hand some beautiful finished pieces of their own work.
