Let's get wild with food! This year's Book Cooks is inspired by the memoir Wild by Cheryl Strayed. Chef Anna Biron will help us "Escape the Ordinary" with a hands-on cooking program; afterward we'll enjoy the fruits of our labor. The menu will include edible plants, mushrooms, and berries that might be found in the wild, as well as foods and flavors that evoke the West Coast of North America. 

This program will be held at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home. Registration begins July 21 at the library; limited to 25 participants. 

This program is supported by a grant from the Norton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and Chef Anna Biron.

Yoga is the union between body, mind, and spirit. In addition to providing a relaxing stretch for the entire body, yoga helps us to be happier, healthier, less stressed, and more present. Everyone is welcome just as they are on their own personal journey towards greater non-judgmental self-awareness. No previous experience needed.

Lisa Cohen, RTY-200, has Yoga Teacher Certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. She is registered with the Yoga Alliance, and is CPR/AED Certified through the American Heart Association. More information is available at www.LisaCohenYoga.com

Registration is required and will begin July 27. Students should wear loose fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat, beach towel or blanket, and bottled water. All other yoga props will be provided.

The first-ever feature-length documentary on the subject, The Bridgewater Triangle explores the history of this fascinating region. The film features a number of local residents providing first-hand accounts of unexplained occurrences.  In addition, an all-star assembly of paranormal researchers, folklorists and authors provide expert analysis regarding the many mysteries of the triangle.

Friends of the Norton Public Library are sponsoring a flea market to be held outside at the Norton Public Library on September 12, 2015.

Spaces are available for $20 each.

Please register at the library by September 10th. Payment is required at sign up.
