Celebrate Patriot's Day with a special storytime with Norton author Sheila Cunningham.  Come hear the incredible story of Willow the wallaby who escaped from the Stone Zoo in 1990 and the author's imaginative idea of what adventures the wallaby might have had in Boston!

Meet the author Shelia Cunningham and character Willow the wallaby (no live wallaby will be present.)

Suitable for all ages. No registration required.

(Copies of her book will be available for purchase and autographing after the program.)

Join us for this family performance by Big Ryan--one of our favorites! Big Ryan has been telling silly stories for over 11 years with quality shows that children enjoy over and over. This program features Big Ryan's original stories, puppet play, a bit of music and movement and a whole lot of fun!

No registration required.

This program is supported by a grant from the Norton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Come join us for a journey toward Kindergarten as we play and learn together!

Get on the Bus Kindergarten Readiness Group is packed with activities to strengthen your child's readiness skills and prepare them for Kindergarten. Using the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks as a guide, we will focus on activities that promote readiness skills in a fun and playful environment. The group will run for an hour and a half and will include meeting, centers, snack, and storytime. Each week there will be a twenty minute "parent talk" session which will cover a variety of topics related to Kindergarten readiness/transition. There will be materials sent home to extend the ideas presented in the group each week.

Facilitated by Marsha Wright, M Ed. and Gina McGarrigle, CFCE Parent Child Educational Specialists.

Songs, stories, crafts and activities with Ms. Gina from CFCE. Preschool Play N Learn is a theme based monthly play group for preschool children and their caregivers. Set up as "a little piece of preschool" children and caregivers are engaged in a variety of activities pertaining to a specific theme.

Ages 2.9 - 6 years old.

Registration opens two weeks prior to event.

Come sing, dance and create music with Ms Marsha from CFCE! This 45-minute music and movement program sets the stage for caregivers and their children to sing, dance, and make music together. We will sing some new songs and old favorites. The children will have the opportunity to use a variety of instruments and make a simple craft. Appropriate for children of all ages! One lucky family will take home the program CD! No pre-registration required.

Each month we'll choose a different book. Reading levels vary, but feel free to view the title on our Novelist database or Common Sense Media for reviews and reader age reccomendations.

This month we'll be discussing Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell.

Recommended for ages 9 and up, all welcome.
