    A FREE family bilingual story class for children of all ages every other Friday. Fun stories, simple crafts and sing along songs in English and Spanish the whole family will enjoy. Registration encouraged, but not required.

*Starting in June, this Bilingual Family Story Time will be implemented every other saturday starting on June 1st (June 15th, June 29th, July 6th, July 20th, Augst 3rd and August 17th). 


Cuentos Bilingües en Familia GRATIS para niños de todas edades cada otro viernes. Cuentos divertidos, artesanía y canciones en Ingles y Español divertido para toda la familia. Registración es recomendada, pero no es necesario.

*Empezando en Junio, este programa de Cuentos Bilingües en Familia va cambiar para cada otro sábado empezando el 1 de Junio ( 15 de Junio, 29 de Junio, 6 de Julio, 20 de Julio, 3 de Agosto y 17 de Agosto).

    Utilizando un enfoque práctico, este taller cubrirá características básicas de Microsoft Word. Incluye: Funciones de la barra de herramientas, como editar un texto, hacer cambios al tamaño de fuente y estilo de la letra, uso del pisa papel y como hacer cambios a un párrafo. Este periodo de sesiones es para principiantes.
Se recomienda que haya asistido a “introduccion a Windows 7” Se requiere conocimiento de las funciones básicas de Windows. Cupo limitado. 

Hands-on workshop will introduce users to basic features of Microsoft Word 2007. It will include focus on how to use Microsoft Word toolbars functions, edit text, change font sizes and styles, changes the paragraph and check spelling and more. Students should be comfortable using the mouse to attend this session.

During "Soil- Worms, Composting and Gardening" we will read stories that teach about soil from a worm's point of view. Participants will have the opportunity to make worm bookmarks and plant seeds in a handmade, compost-able, newspaper pot.

    This 90 minute program is designed to give teens an understanding of Rhode Island agriculture and offer a cooking experience that features RI grown fruits and veggies. The chef will assist students in creating their own veggie quesadillas and salsa. Participants will also have the opportunity to make newspaper pots and plant seeds to some fo the vegetables used in the recipe. Please register at the Reference Desk. This program is part of the Summer Reading Program Beneath the Surface. Mr. Rickman is the founder of The Rickman Group, a Providence-based management consultant firm, offering advice to companies and nonprofits to improve their strategic, financial and operational position and performance.  A former state representative, Ray Rickman lectures throughout Rhode Island and beyond on a broad range of historical and cultural topics pertaining to American literature and African American history.
