How does your garden grow? If you answer with sparkly trees that bloom golden flowers or super-sized alien worms, then come build your own secret garden at the library! We'll use a variety of natural and recycled materials to create our own out-of-this-world mini garden to take home! Join Lindsay from New Kensington's Fresh Heirlooms for this special summer craft program for kids entering grades 2-5! Space is limited to the first 20 kids!

Join us for our yearly Science in the Summer program in partnership with the Carnegie Science Center and GlaxoSmithKline! This year's topic is "Genetics: All About You." There will be fun and educational hands-on activities for children to learn all about DNA and genetics. This class runs Monday through Thursday, children must be able to attend all four sessions. Space is limited to 18 students per class, so sign up soon!
***The Carnegie Science Center requires parents to complete a paper permission form. After signing up online you will be contacted by e-mail or phone with details about when these permission forms will be available***

A new book club for EVERYONE in Seventh Grade and up,
we read a popular Young Adult or Adult book each month.
We meet over snacks to share what we loved or hated about each title and to suggest new titles for the book club to read. Bring a friend! Bring a grandparent or grandchild! Hope to see you there!
The next meeting will be at Loafin Bakery Café in Lower Burrell. We will be discussing The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.
