ent_filmproj 6:00 PM Cinema of Law: One Big Home     Tell a Friend

Cinema of Law concludes the season.

Attorney Janet Pumphrey introduces the documentary "One Big Home" (2016).On the tiny island of Martha’s Vineyard, where presidents and celebrities vacation, trophy homes threaten to destroy the island’s unique character. When he feels complicit in wrecking the place he calls home, he takes off his tool belt and picks up a camera. Bumping up against angry homeowners and builders who look the other way, he works with his community and attempts to pass a new bylaw to limit house size.

This program is approved for Forum Credit for Berkshire Community College students.

The Cinema of Law series presents law related films and commentary. It is  a collaboration among the Berkshire Law Library, the Berkshire Bar Association and the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum .
