This year's  Summer Library Program Theme is Heroes and everyone is invited to join Plumb Library's Summer Hero Training Camp!   There are no age or residency restrictions! 

Plumb's Hero Training Camp will provide a mix of weekly activities, workshops and shows all focused on sharpening skills needed to be a hero.  Awards and prizes canl be earned by all participants who log their progress.  

Online registration will start June 1 and end on July 4th.  Actual Programs begin June 20th.

Every Tuesday from June 23 - August 18, bring your nut-free lunch to the library and spend an hour with a Home Town Hero!  

Local heroes will share stories and gadgets from their profession!  A related activity will be available.

This program is geared to ages 5 and up, but all children are welcome with caregivers.  Registration is not required, but prompt arrival is important!

 If you are a Minecraft fan, this is the club for you!  We will be playing Minecraft using worlds created by club members.  

Members must be aged 10 (entering Grade 5) or above   This is a kids club run by teen Minecraft Masters.   REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  CLICK ON REGISTER TAB BELOW.  SPACE LIMITED. 

There will be STRICT rules this session.  All players and parents will need to agree to club rules before membership will be approved! 

Must bring a handheld device or laptop with Minecraft loaded .  Players will be grouped by the edition of Minecraft they have loaded.  

What is Minecraft? Minecraft is a video game in which players create and break apart various kinds of blocks in three-dimensional worlds. The game’s two main modes are Survival and Creative. In Survival, players must find their own building supplies and food. They also interact with blocklike mobs, or moving creatures. (Creepers and zombies are some of the dangerous ones.) In Creative, players are given supplies and do not have to eat to survive. They also can break all kinds of blocks immediately.  The purpose of the game is simply to build and explore (and survive).

 Youth hold the power to change the world. The children will make and share a project for members of their community.  Part 2 of this class will be to deliver the items to a local community organization.  Allowing kids this opportunity to connect to their community and adult leaders, youth gain a clear understanding of their role in civic affairs and are able to build their decision-making ability. This solid foundation helps youth understand and acquire the skills that will allow them to become astute leaders for the 21st Century.

Heroes need to be healthy and fit!  Local Dad and Early Educator, Mr. Dave, will be here to provide some fun outdoor activities for kids ages 6 and under

 Parent presence is required.  For kids 3 and under - parent participation required  

Come ready to move and groove outside!  Wear active clothes, sneakers (not sandals), and sun block.

This will be a rain or shine event.  Goldfish and juice will be served after outdoor play!

This workshop will discuss the use of sugar in our everyday lives. In the spirit of marine biology, we will examine specimens, while learning exciting facts about these amazing creatures. Learning about our marine life friends, the children will also gain valuable life skills like decision making, planning and organizational skills and communicating with others.

There will be STRICT rules this session.  All players and parents will need to agree to club rules before membership will be approved! 

Must bring a handheld device or laptop with Minecraft loaded .  Players will be grouped by the edition of Minecraft they have loaded.  

What is Minecraft? Minecraft is a video game in which players create and break apart various kinds of blocks in three-dimensional worlds. The game’s two main modes are Survival and Creative. In Survival, players must find their own building supplies and food. They also interact with blocklike mobs, or moving creatures. (Creepers and zombies are some of the dangerous ones.) In Creative, players are given supplies and do not have to eat to survive. They also can break all kinds of blocks immediately.  The purpose of the game is simply to build and explore (and survive).
