The National Summer Library Program theme is Fitness, Wellness and Sports. Join us for some physical and mental challenges this summer - from June 20 until August 20! 

Go to plumblibrary.com to find the registration links for our program. There will be 2 links - Kids (4-14) and Adults (18+).   

Registration begins June 1 and ends July 4. 

Programs begin June 20 and end August 20. 

Why register? 

  • Fun motivation to exercise minds and bodies over the summer.
  • Earn prizes, treats and awards!
  • Receive unique Bruins posters, certificates, and possibly special prizes!
  • Cool, easy to use game-like reading and challenge tracking system.  
  • Complete different challenges to increase knowlege and skills.
  • Attend FREE shows and programs!
  • Maintain skills and learn new ones during summer vacation.
  • Develop positive attitudes about reading, books, and the library.
  • Be part of a national summer reading theme program and a community supported library program!  

The Plumb Program is supported by the Friends of Plumb Library, the Rochester Lions Club, and the MA/Rochester Cultural Council.

Our friend, Nancy Sparklin, will be here with us on 4 Fridays in July from 10:30-11:15 a.m.to spread the joy of music and movement.  She will be sharing some of her favorite children's books.  This class will be best for children aged 2-6.  Families are welcome, however. 

This is a DROP-IN Program and will be held July 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Plumb Library has partnered with the Buzzard's Bay Coalition, www.savebuzzardsbay.org, to create Family Fridays. 

Family Fridays will offer free local outdoor activities presented by the Coalition on July 15, 22 and 29.

Get your whole family to explore the outdoors during Family Friday Explorations, a series of three free outings in July hosted by the Buzzards Bay Coalition and Plumb Summer Library Program. Through fun games and hands-on activities, your family will learn about the Buzzards Bay region’s animals, plants, and habitats. Recommended for families with elementary school-aged children.

This week we’ll learn to make fishing poles!
