Friends Trip: Morgan Library & Radio City Music Hall Tours

On Thursday, November 4, the Friends’ tour bus will leave the former Linens ‘n Things on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie at
8:30 A.M., rain or shine. Once in midtown, we will enjoy a one-hour guided tour of the exhibit “Mark Twain: A Skeptic’s Progress” at the Morgan Library & Museum. The exhibit coincides with the 175th anniversary of Twain’s birth and includes many interesting artifacts associated with the author’s life and work. We will have approximately one and one-half hours on our own to tour the rest of the Museum and grounds.
At 1:00, our bus heads to Radio City Music Hall. After free time for lunch, we begin the guided theater tour at 2:45. The Radio City Backstage Tour is a fascinating exploration of the beautifully restored 1932 Art Deco theater. Get an insider’s look at the home of the world-famous Rockettes and the ever-popular Christmas Spectacular. We will leave Radio City at 4:15 to return to Poughkeepsie.
The Friends NYC Bus Trip is $50.00 per person, which includes admission to both venues, group tours, and transportation. Money must be received by Ocotober 14, with no refunds unless the trip is cancelled. To pre-register, call Deb Shon at 485-3445 x 3313.
