MUSEUM PASSES -- WIFI MOBILE HOSPOTS – STARLING KITS
Museum passes are loaned for three days and are non-renewable.
Select the date that you will pick up the pass at the library.
Passes are available for pickup after 12 noon and are due back
on the third day no later than 11 am.
The pass may be returned in the book drop outside the library entrance when the l
ibrary is closed. Passes returned late will be assessed a late fee of $10 per day.
If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the Library during operating
hours at (201) 939-8600. Please note, if the day says CLOSED, that means that
the Rutherford Public Library is closed, not the museum. Please view the Pass

WiFi MOBILE HOTSPOTS
The library loans mobile hotspots, a device that provides internet to
phones, tablets, and computers. It is useful for those who need internet
access at home or while away on a trip. Connect up to ten devices at a time.
Hotspots are loaned for 2 weeks (no renewals) and must be picked up and
returned in person during library hours. A hotspot can only be borrowed once
every thirty days. It may not be returned in the book drop. Hotspots returned late
will be assessed a fine of $20 per day. See additional terms and conditions at the library.
The library loans Starling kits. A Starling is a small wearable device that
counts the words a child hears throughout the day. The device pairs with
a smartphone app (smartphone not included). The kit comes with 4 books
and stacking cups to help adults engage with the child.
Starling kits are loaned for 2 weeks (no renewals) and must be picked up and
returned in person during library hours. It may only be borrowed once every thirty
days and may not be returned in the book drop. Starling kits returned late will be
assessed a fine of $10 per day. Please note that the user must have a
smartphone or tablet available to install the Starling app.
The person reserving a Museum Pass, Hotspot, or Starling must be a
Rutherford resident, 18 years or older, with a valid Rutherford Public Library
card in good standing. Hotspots and Starling Kits may be borrowed once
every thirty days. The cardholder must be present at the time of pickup.
Reservations made on juvenile library cards will not be honored.
