Teens ages 13-18 are invited to enjoy an exclusive space just for them to study alone or in groups, and unwind playing board games or laughing with friends. Unlike in the rest of the library, noise is OK. Snacks will be provided, and teens are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Erica, the youth librarian, will be available for reference questions. There will be free wifi, but teens must bring their own electronic devices.

For the duration of Teen Tech Week, the library will be accepting art submissions from middle and high school students in Rockport.

Please send photographs or attachments of your work in JPG format to Erica the Children’s Librarian at eruscio@rockportlibrary.org with the subject title Teen Art Contest. Please also include your name, grade, title for your art, and medium. All mediums of visual art are accepted.

All entries will be showcased on our Facebook page, and winners will be featured in our monthly newsletter and will win a prize!

During this one hour workshop, students will draw their own comic pages and learn about everything from storytelling to publishing.
