         Do you love to cook?

         Do you read cookbooks like others read novels?            

        Then why don’t you join our new Cookbook Book Club?

         This new group meets monthly to discuss a cookbook, share recipes and cooking tips, and taste test recipes. Come meet new friends,decide on a recipe focus and then get cooking!!  Members are preparing breads for the April meeting. Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day is one cookbook that is on hold for members. Call the library for more information on how you can join.

The SCNU (South Coast Neighbors United) invite community members to come view a "movie of the month." The content of these films will be largely related to environmental and social justice issues, and will be in the form of documentaries, movies, or television series.

The screenings will typically be held on the first Wednesdays and third Saturdays of the month, with the exception of April (second Wednesday and fourth Saturday) and May (fourth Saturday).

Acushnet Public Library announces the new Book Club for young people age 10 and up.  Join us on Thursday, May 11 @ 4 pm in the Young Adult area and learn about this new book club.  This month members will be reading different titles by one author.  Stop by the library and pick up a copy of any children's book by James Patterson or order a copy through SAILS.  We will dicsuss the book, enjoy an activity and SNACK, and pick up the next book to read!

April 13            "Forbidden Library" (a mysterious, magical book with cats and wizards) by Django Wexler

May 11            " Reader's Choice (pick any title by this author) by James Patterson.  Middle School, I, Funny, or any other title.

June 8             "Chronicles of Narnia (a fantasy series) by C. S. Lewis
