A memorable and varied line up of local talent will be packed into one thrilling evening for the Strut Your Stuff Adult Talent Show at 7 p.m. Friday, April 3 in Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE.

A showcase of local talent for performers ages 18 and older, Strut Your Stuff is a non-competitive celebration of the skills and talents in our community.

Featured performers are: singer/songwriters Randy Hunt, Lisa Lee, Alex Curtis, and Joseph Ovard; humorist Therese O’Neill; tightrope walker A Gray Phantom; ukulele specialist Becky Leonard; dance acts The Tapper Flapper, On Tap Dancers and Claddagh Celtic Dancers; didgeridoo player and maker Jerry Haranczyk; and singers Ronnie Manne, Contessa Dent, Joan Lulow, and Richard Leppig; and singing duo Dan Knudsen and Mark McCoin.

The show will be MCed by K. Williams Brown, former columnist for the Statesman Journal and author of “Adulting: How to Become a Grown-Up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps.”

Free tickets for the Strut Your Stuff Adult Talent Show will be available at the Central Library’s Information Desk and the West Salem Branch Service Desk beginning Friday, March 27. Tickets are valid until 10 minutes before performance time. At that time, those waiting may fill any unused seats.

Members of the Salem Public Library Teen Advisory Board will be on hand, offering a free-will donation based concession benefitting the library’s Teen Scene area.

The concert is sponsored by the Salem Public Library Foundation.

Meet at the Central Library’s Information Desk

The public is invited to attend three Behind-the-Scenes Tours during April in celebration of National Library Week (April 12-18). Guided tours are given by Salem Public Library managers. The free one-hour tours will begin at the Central Library’s Information Desk on the main floor and give visitors an opportunity to learn about library operations including materials check-in, reshelving, selecting, purchasing, materials handling, and program preparation.

Due to limited space, pre-registration is recommended at the Information Desk in person or by phone.

The public is invited to attend three Behind-the-Scenes Tours during April in celebration of National Library Week (April 12-18). Guided tours are given by Salem Public Library managers. The free one-hour tours will begin at the Central Library’s Information Desk on the main floor and give visitors an opportunity to learn about library operations including materials check-in, reshelving, selecting, purchasing, materials handling, and program preparation.

Due to limited space, pre-registration is recommended at the Information Desk in person or by phone.
